Age Gives Grace
In the corner of the well-kept yard
An ancient one-car shed stands
Its weathered boards and rusty hinges guard
Many families' secrets or lives lived bland
Though years have etched their stories in sand
Now with new owners, a new chapter awaits
Its peeling and faded boards whisper of by-gone days
After all, some days' sunsets' beauty paints it with updates
Those time's gentle hands have lifted and set it ablaze
As it ages, it is graced in each phase
Some days' morning dew kisses its rugged face
Nature's sunrise or sunsets colors it so bright
Expose each knot and grain in their special place
And there's renewing of its spirit in dawn and twilight
At these times, the shed recalls laughter and delight
