Age

Age:

comes slowly stealing youth and beauty
creeping silently on soft sole shoes
                    Age:

neither cares nor wonders about life's
up or down, winding along on a one way street
always going in the same direction, never
stopping nor slowing till life comes to an end
                     Age:

a wonder of modern medicine, while helping
to make doctors rich, but always one step ahead
                     Age:

when you've lived as long as life will allow
then age takes you beyond
                      Age:

forever there always coming,with one
purpose in mind
                       Age:

that makes a babe star in fear,a teen run
in tears and an adult sat peacefully
awaiting its ultimate end
                        Age:

time beyond all meaning....

Yes, age takes its toll but I am blessed that God has given me these years and my health isn't as bad as many. Enjoyed reading your work. Sara
