Again

If my tongue I could just tame
Your dear heart I would not maim
Every time we play this game
Seems the outcome is the same
First my quick words cause a strain
Then my impulse is to blame
So again I’ve caused you pain
All I feel now is the shame
Please forgive all I’ve declaimed
Let me love you once again
