Afterglow

Afterglow
by ~H~

I listen to you breathing
Where we lay here on the floor
Reveling in the afterglow
Bodies entwined; chests heaving

Your hand presses cool on my skin
Here in my arms where you rest
My fingers caress the lines of your back
As the calmness starts to sink in

What sweet surrender we have met
Your leg pulled over mine
Our heartbeat dances in companion rhythm
Our bodies glistening wet

I listen to your breathing
Where in my arms you lay
Content in what we've created
And a comfort undeceiving
