This sounds like the aftermath of war. Though it officially ended the children are living in the rubble of it. Line three makes me think of loss in a profound way... as if there's no possible way you could bring back their innocent minds that were tainted by all the horrible things they've seen. Your few words paint a much bigger picture and story than the actual content... it's what turns good haiku into GREAT haiku. Love it!
