After the Storm
For the storms roll in,
The sky darkens,
In the darkness there is bolts of lighting,
Lighting up the sky,
In a beauty that only GOD could bring,
The smell sweet as it rolls,
Closer and closer,
The air chills,
As the first drop hits,
It is a sprinkle to start,
Slightly to wet ten the ground,
The light show continues,
Through out the night,
Who can sleep?
The beauty,
The sound of the raindrops on the window sill,
The cracks of thunder,
Tranquil it is,
For the following day,
We see the moist ground,
Only for a while,
Then the dryness is returned,
Only rejuvenating the ground,
Till the next go round,
Never knowing where or when,
We will pray for the rain again.
The storm washes away the dirt and grim,
For a new start,
Clean and fresh,
We begin the next day,
New lives feed of the rain,
New plants arrive,
It is a new start for all,
After the storm.
