After All This Time
Months and years pass by,
Time is moving forward,
In a steady fast pace.
It is now the future,
I have everything I need.
For some odd reason,
You come walking along,
After all this time,
Years after we separated.
For the first time in so long,
Tears stream down my face,
I’m happy to see you,
And then I look into your eyes,
I am then reminded about you leaving,
And never coming back.
I want to stop crying,
But it is too much for me,
The tears keep falling,
And the pain of losing you,
Breaks my heart once again,
After all this time…
