I love your tribute to your home continent, Jenn, done in the VERY challenging double acrostic form (love how you used "FAV" as your difficult to find "V" word!) I've never been to your fair land, but if I get the chance to, I will let your poem be my tour guide! Hugs ~ John

Hi Jenny, I’ve always wanted to visit Africa. Your poem just intensified my urge to visit. Maybe when the outbreak is of the past, I will journey there. It would be so cool to stand where Mandela stood. Congratulations on your win. Great job my friend from across the pond:-) Alexis

I have grown up almost in Africa. We lived in the then Rhodesia , then Zambia and finally South Africa. It is a beautiful country and as every country has its pros and cons. I couldn't live anywhere else, Africa sort of seeps into your blood. It would be so cool to meet you - Tom also I think, would love to come to Africa. We were in England 5 years ago, before I was on Poetry Soup and one of the places we visited was Stafford upon Avon and we visited Anne Hathaway's cottage - Shakespeare's wife, which is only a stones throw from where Tom lives - we both said such a shame we didn't know each other then, we could have met. Thank-you for an awesome comment my friend. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer.

Beautifully done Jennifer. Africa is indeed a lovely place.I would love to visit the national parks and see he huge animals in their own habitat. God Bless, JB PS As for herbs and wildflowers, Licorice is great for constipation and water retention and you can eat dandelions in a salad or boil them like spinach or even fry them and the flowers make a nice tea.

How lovely it would be to meet you all, that is now Tom yourself and Alexis, why don't Poetry Soup hold a poetry convention in or around Johannesburg, how cool that we would be! We used to have a travel agency and organised many tours, but we kept our smaller business which my husband and I ran from home now. We place nursing sisters as we are a Medical Placement Consultancy. I'll remember the licorice because I love it and dandelions I agree are really great in a salad. Blessings and Hugs my friend, Jennifer.

Hi Anil, Durban sharks are not to be messed with unless you want an arm or a lege to be chomped off. Africa has a vibe no other country can come close to. Blessings, shalom and Eirene. Jennifer.
