AFRICA  --A MODERN VIEW

                   A zure skies sing lullabies--still tremors built of fear
                   F renzied red machetes dance in children’s midnight dreams
                   R aging mothers gather close the loved ones they hold dear
                   I dle politicians daily change their back room schemes
                   C orruption shakes the ground while other nations play their games
                   A zure skies say nothing but remember dead men’s names

Audrey Haick January 7, 2013 at 8:37 PM Victoria, this is sad. Although beautiful, most of Africa it seems, is lost to greed by un patriotic warlords in fatigues; some dressed in 3 piece suits... It's a shame because there's so much potential! And always, the women and children suffer. Thanks for sharing this. Always, Annalise
