Afraid of the Light

I was never really afraid of what I couldn't see, but what I could see. Because what I saw in the day would haunt me in the night. I wanted to be left in the dark and sleep away the pain and light of the world I found myself in. The dark was my friend, It has a way of revealing things to me that were hidden in the light. In the dark is were the truth showed it face to me. I found God and disappointment. In the dark I would cry but in the light I shed no tear. I love the dark because after a long bright day I can wind down in the dark, see the stars and wish for more darkness.
