Advice From Two Birds
Said the mockingbird to the lonely bobwhite:
“Your call is nice, but it really isn’t quite right,
Ruffle up your feathers and rear back on a leg
Whistle in loudest voice, like you drank a keg,
I mean, who am I to criticize your distinct call
I’m inclined to borrow from others, after all.”
Said the lonely bobwhite to the mockingbird:
"Why is it those who can’t, well, act like a turd?
I don’t mind if you want to borrow my voice
It matters not to me, it’s entirely your choice,
Remember, however, I am hunted as a quail
So, perhaps, in this case, you’d be wise to fail!"
