Notes About The Poem

Listen to poem:

Adrift the Mist

i remember most your eyes
the way they seemed to follow me
then left me in a sudden haste
to drown at the altar of nostalgia
alone in my bog of memories

you didn't mean to die but left me
adrift in the misty silences of
yesterday's waterlily remnants

Congratulations on your win. I love your line, "alone in my bog of memories." In life all we have left are our memories. A wonderful write. Enjoy your day and win..........

The waterlily - the pupil and iris for just behind them - the memories of which his eyes are the most. Not sure if this was your intention, but it is where your poem took me. Congrats.
