Admiring Blue Mountain Lake
I am entranced by blue mountain lake
I had heard it was gorgeous, but this is nirvana
Decorated by the oranges and yellows of autumn
I feel God watching as I approach water’s edge
Sky angels pretend to be clouds, but I feel their presence
There is something ethereal, mystical, and magical here.
Blue mountain lake; I have heard about it for years
This is my first time to enter this paradise
Can I wade to the grassy island knoll in the middle?
I plunge into the depths of the clear reflective waters
Remembering now the story of the one hundred pound catfish
I am refreshed and enthusiastically joyful
