Addict's Anthem

	      Marijuana came around
              LSD went to town

                Cocaine in his brain
                His life down the drain

                   Hashish to ease the pain

You nailed it, Karen --- a real 'for some:' Marijuana, LSD, Cocaine, and Hashish. Wonder if they'll break par. ~ Tiger Woods

This is a sad truth but such a great poem. It's a cloak and self-inflicted dagger. Excellent write, Gershon .

That is the way of it. Devastating when you see precious little ones grow up and see them fall away to shambles and destroy their lives. There is way too much of that happening, it makes me sad and mad all at the same time. Sometimes I think too many people lose hope, and turn to dope to cope! I am sorry I am absent most the time on site, and for now, just getting a fix on my own addiction of reading others poetry on site this evening. It is good to read your words as always!

Ooo Hoo! Trading one drug for another. Where does it stop. Happens all the time to people who look for a way to stop the pain of simply living. And it just makes you sicker than ever. A good write my friend. Just got a new pc after having my old one destroyed. I'm back now and hoping I haven't lost all my friends here. God Bless, JB

Wow. So great to see your name pop up, Jady. Welcome back!!! That I'm still here is a minor medical miracle. Bat I'm here. Excelsior, Gershon
