Addiction

No one understood the things that he did
What would make him give up on his wife and his kids
How could he lock himself away so
How could he just let everyting go

The fear and depression could not get in
But niether could his family and friends
The addiction it clamed him and ate at his soul
Left him feeling empty with no where to go

So he would hide back in his cell
Go back to the peace of his self made hell
Locked away to hide with his pain
The drugs being a invisable chain

He shut out the world one pill at a time
Till they took over his mind
Now alone and lost
He wonders at night if it was worth the cost
