Why are some compelled to post Twelve poems in a row? If someone has the answer, please, I’d really like to know. Perhaps they like to see their names In print a dozen times. Yet seeing that, I lose the urge To read one of their rhymes. Poems, like pastries, offer us A treat that’s sweet and pure. One bite slowly savored Leaves us craving many more. But when the words pile up so fast, It’s more than I can swallow; And then, no matter how well-baked, The offerings seem hollow. I’m speaking only for myself. We each do what is best; But if you post twelve poems a day, I’ll read one – not the rest!

Enjoyed reading your poetry today and hope to be back soon to read more Ilene. This time of year we all are so busy and I for one don't have a lot of time right now but I will try. I love reading the poetry of the many talented poets here at the Soup. Hope to be reading your poetry for many more years to come. Thank you for sharing your poetry with us and may you always find the inspiration to continue with your writing endeavors whatever they may be. Love, Carol

I wonder about that too. I will read one or two of someone but when they put that many all at once most won't get read. Too bad.
