There was a period of my life that because of surgery my left side of my face developed Bell's palsy; those that were friends didn't even show up to my hospital room or come to visit at my home.

They truly hurt me. I heard all sorts of excuse, but none of them made any sense.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words One grows fond of all the involvement one has with society To what end do we extend those words of forgiveness said so easily You spend all those days and weekends With those they say they are your friends Those that say they will watch your back to the end Then that day comes, and they pretend They don’t know you; … those friends Are not no more, they offend They will hurt you and stir your anger They say absence makes the heart grow founder Is not always the answer People inspire you, or they drain you and make you bitter Reality is… we were friends for never I can’t take this no more, so I’ll kiss them good-bye forever They were not worth my time and worry so I’ll arrange to stay away Stay away Stay away Forever I don’t need you as friends if you can’t take me as I am and Have my back at the end 11/6/2015

Eve, a right choice! Wasted years on those who don't deserve your love! We're all in the same boat some time or the other! Marvellously expressed!

Oh Eve, I really feel for you, I couldn't have written that better myself, people can be very cruel and as far as friendship go people are not worth Sh...............on. We are here as your friends my dear, we keep well clear of people, even my brothers as they can really hurt you, you take care my dear, we may be miles away but we are here for you.........Vera

I so totally hear and respect you dear Eve, my sister Evie know this young man, won't say his name but he was in a fire at one time. You know what Evie said about him. She loves him so much for he has such a beautiful aura and is so very beautiful inside. For something like this to happen to anybody my heart really goes out to you and everyone else. Thanks for sharing this beautiful poem. A 7x 100 and a FAV. In my eyes you are already a winner. huggs xx

Hi Eve, I had to come back and read this beautiful poem of yours. You really do have a beautiful husband to have and to hold within the best time of your young lives ahead. I always say everyone is young in my eyes.... many hugs from Theresa

Thank you, Theresa, my husband has always been great he is always telling me he fell in love with the person inside not the one from the outside. He still tells me I'm beautiful <3
