Across the Horizon

A wind swept visin
and the ocean's lure,
waves crashing within one another,
like lovers entwined,
in lucid reflections
upon the sky,
as the sun beats down
on the shore,
rippled visions of a mirage.
As I take all this in,
pictures of you come to mind,
I close my eyes and start to dream,
waiting to hear
your footsteps,
from across the horizon.
