Acid On My Tongue

The blood pounds in my ears As the silence closes in around Quiet expectation emanates from the other Face to face with the abyss, I dive in The silence breaks with a stifled shout The sweet sting of acid blesses my senses The earth rolls beneath me And the winds sing their song beautifully Beneath the ocean's waves I breathe in gratefully Exhaling softly in the waters The wind's song lifts me high above With the earth quaking, the wind's song reaches its climax A final jolt of sweet acid flows from the spring With a deep breath, I pull away from the abyss And smile at the grinning face of Aphrodite before me
