Accepted
How your smile can illuminate
How brightly you shine
How easily purchased has been,
The lie behind the eyes,
Of the statue,
Standing tall,
Rooted firmly in hypocrisy.
How readily accepted,
To the bosoms of those,
Unknowingly drawn,
To the facade.
Believing you,
To be of the same feather
As to a duck hunter's decoy,
They flock to your side.
An explosion cuts through the fog
As the last emotion caresses the ground
Silhouetted against my shame
The form of self proclaimed perfection can be seen
Now firmly planted in victory.
