Acceptance
Its safe here
He's pushed everyone as far away as he can.
Now a solitary man with a stagnant plan
He forces himself to give a smile away
Though his thoughts are miles away
He gives a courteous nod
And acknowledges the rest of life in the universe.
But he would rather disperse of the nicities.
Live alone in simplicity
He wonders to himself
Where am I?
Where am I going?
Is my lunacy showing?
And in the midst of the glowing harvest moon
He begs the hollow sky above
To come and rescue him soon.
He lays back on the pillow
that has conformed to his lonely image.
He dreams again of an icy tomb
Locked away like in the hush of a mothers womb
He finds comfort in the lonliness
And has warmed up to its shallow caress
Yes acceptance of his empty life no less
And another tick on the clock is put to rest.
