Nice haiku, Emile. Not everyone that writes them knows that you're supposed to do u-turn or "surprise" in the last line, and you did just that. The aurora borealis really is quite abstract and I liked your sentimental patriotic touch in the second line. Maybe one of these days I'll get to see them for myself. Good luck in the contest!
