Absence of Presence: Mother Has Passed
Silence reigns in the corners of her room.
Shadows stretch where laughter once filled the air.
A chair sits untouched, the imprint of memory faded.
Light pours across empty spaces, seeking substance.
The walls echo with the hush of what’s missing.
You are the silver thread in the fabric of my life.
The clock moves, but time feels empty here.
Air, thick with a longing, invisible yet perceived.
Absence; shapes carved by what was once here.
Presence; her ghost forever resting in my heart.
