Dear Abeke,
Your presence in my life is sacred
You relax my mind
After a hard day’s work
You refresh my nerves
With your soothing words
Your fingers work magic
On my jagged and ragged body
Refreshing my broken soul
As I lay dead to the world…
But indeed
To this world
I never seek to wake
And return
But your gentle prod
And soft voice
Ring in my ears
Waking me to reality…
None appeals to me
None feels like you
I see many
But all is never up to one
Of you…
Let’s stay together
Forever
In your dreamly abode
Where love conquers all wars
And bullets dissolve
Into liquid songs…
Let me stay in your arms
Never to return
From my nightly troubled sleep…
Let me run with you
Along the plains
Of our secretly open beach
Where many of our story
Is told…
Abeke
They all try
But none wins my jagged heart
Save you
To who I return to
Every night
To heal
To nurture
For my worldly
Daily wars…
Let’s fuse as one
Never to be separated
For you only
Bring joy
To a parched soul…
