Abdul Kalam - India's Icon

"Aim for a thoughtful, creative mind”
he said, and we, as times rewind,
Think of India’s ‘Missile man’,
The one who made us believe 'We can'.

'People’s president’, he was called,
Patiently he listened, and problems were solved -
He never let a single one down -
The boy who came from a tiny town.

He wanted to spend his last breath speaking,
Speaking to students, knowledge-seeking…


And now, with the whispers of the breeze,
Come our wishes - Sir, Rest in Peace.
