A Year Full of Days

Turn my life
Around with each year
Remove strife
All pain and all fear
Arms held wide
With smile greet the day
I won’t hide
I’ll rise on my way
The sun is bright
My red dress to wear
Hair just right
I sit in my chair
Have some tea
With a scone or two
Nourishing me
To see the day thru
I’m happy now
There’s so much ahead
Start somehow
First step, with no dread
Take the lure
Enjoy the new day
To be sure
My years on the way!
