A World of Rolled Up Newspapers - Section B

Let me ask you, how does the poem change
when "dog" is addressed in the female gender?

              come now little "....."

                    stop shaking

                  it's only thunder

More specifically,
do you still see a dog?

To each, its age … Shakespeare's had 'bastard.' (Edmund, of Gloucester in "Hamlet," if memory serves me correctly). Yes, words certainly trap and ensnare---if we let them. … Thought-provoking write, Maureen! :) gw

OH dear....what the world has done to us. No, I don't see a dog anymore, dear....powerful lines. We get accustomed to what we hear...and not always for the good.

Well said. And the metaphor I was trying to ply didn't seem to fly without it. That's a powerful word, time to take the power back ;) Thank you for participating in my Section B Questionaire Lol xomo! ;p
