A Woman's Pride
I am a tender woman
I nurture and I protect
I’m subservient and meek
However, I now object…
I am a woman with pride
My self-respect I hold dear
I will not let you be cruel
I will not let you come near
You chose to misunderstand
All that I do and I say
You should have known much better
Now you have chased me away
I’m sure of what I am worth
I know my heart is pure gold
But you thought me a trinket
My pure affection you sold
I will not grovel or beg
You must repent, see the light
I will go on and survive
But I’ll haunt you in the night
Undressed, I’ll visit your dreams
Will torture you and torment
You’ll pray right down on your knees
For your angel….heaven sent
My dear man, I AM loving
And though I may be in pain
You must try to make amends
If my love you want to gain!
