A Woman As I'M

I get happy on the same thing many times, I burst into laughter in minutes and cry in seconds, What's minor for the world takes major space in my mind. I don't like to be judged but don't restrict myself in the fear of being judged, I get content if my today is a better version of my yesterday. I feel others' pain and happiness; While empathy, gratitude, introspection constitute my persona, Forgetfulness and forgiveness is a journey I'm uncovering and learning everyday. I'm strong headed and opinionated, Freedom for me is not only financial but emotional and mental. I carry a saree in the Western world as comfortably as I carried shorts in the East, I embrace my fragility and vulnerability as much as I embrace the confidence and poise. I'm a woman who speaks with words, expresses with her eyes and laughs and cries with her heart I'm a woman who prefers the ink flowing down her pen than alcohol down her throat to express bold emotions I'm the light of the world as my parents named me. I'm Jagjot, I'm a Woman. Happy Women's Day
