A Wintry Day

Winter is here, Reigning snow at mid and morning, Calling upon each and every, Brushing the skies in hues of blue and red Engulfing all in cool and silky breeze. A sparrows nest, All warm and cozy, Ready for the coming frost, The crooked trees, rid of leaves With branches entangled keeps them warm. Knitted blankets spread out fine, Beneath it I do slumber, Aroused with hot coffee in bed, The winter spirits dressed and ready, To begin this day on a blitheful note.
