A Wintry Dawn

Woke up to a cold and wintry morn, No blue sky, just a threatening dawn. Clouds are low and a dirty grey, Look full of rain ready to cascade today. No sun to see to give us mirth, Waiting for the deluge to water the earth. Then, as I watched, to my delight, The sun burst though, shining bright. The clouds dispersed as the sun shone down, Wiping away the mornings frown. Another nice day in Cyprus. © Dave Timperley 13/12/2018

Ah, Thank you Anne-Lise, lovely to hear from you. Here in Cyprus we do not take to well to the cold weather, even though it is mainly at night. Take care, and have a wonderfully delicious Christmas. God Bless. D.

Hello Dave, I do like this poem. When the snow covers the empty trees it looks beautiful. Have a nice evening my friend.

No snow here Darlene, just gets a little cold[15 degrees which is cold for us] But weather can change dramatically through winter. I'm a summer person. Thanks for your comments. God Bless. D.

Went from one extreme to the other yesterday Heidi. As long as it rains at night is OK by me. Thanks for stopping by. God Bless. D.
