A Winter Song
A fluffy blanket of clouds
is covering table mountain at dusk
a brilliant purple displaying a smile on my face
with thoughts of coming home to you
even if I didn't know if I would make it
you are appreciated
don't you know lovely sweet lady
my heart beat strong
it is this winter song I compose for you
the cold cosiness I enjoy
waking up next to you at dawn
while the dew settles on the lawn
a good morning kiss brings us to the bridge
of this beautiful winter song
so many winters you have kept me warm
I am putty in your arms
I am your subject you are my queen
when life is a nightmare you are my sweet dream
coming from a boring reality you are my dream lover
so my lovely wife
I am writing a winter song just for you...
