A Wingless Angel

A Wingless Angel I once dreamt of an angel. A most beautiful and elegant angel. She had long raven black hair and almond eyes. She hugged me softly and told my pain goodbye. I once dreamt of an angel. So pretty, so fair, so fragile. With skin like porcelain and lips like velvet. I once met this angel, though not from above me. She was fearless and wingless, but just as comely. We came together as one, well our hearts did. Then one day me and my angel departed. I once knew this beautiful angel. Who changes the earth when she sings. Above all else I feared only one thing. That one day my angel would grow wings. By christopher Delorenzo
