Outside, the storm raged violently, And temperatures dropped to minus one. Yet, in my bedroom, all was cosy and warm The fireplace roaring with plenty of logs. I stood behind the thick window panes, Then, all misty with my warm breath. I cleaned a part and looked outside. The avenue was devoid of customers. As rain pelted down heavily on bare trees. Then, the wayward wind veered abruptly. Icicles began to form on the balcony's edge. Lightning, like serpents, flickered from side to side Followed by the booming rumble of thunder. I drew the curtains and switched on a night lamp. Added some logs to upkeep the warmth. I retreated to bed and huddled near my wife. Let winter do its worst; I was now warm and content.

I think many couples think this way. I can picture you, especially with “ I cleaned a part and looked outside” It is like I am there. Always great! Hugs and warmth <3

A lovely poem. Though it is wintry cold and an inclement weather outside, everything is warm in the hearth and heart and a peaceful sleep with the loved one at the end. Greatly enjoyed!

What a happy contrast to the wild weather, is snuggling up to the one you love. 'The deserted streets, and the icicles forming on the balcony's edge,' are examples of the fine imagery employed here, to set the moods of chaos and coziness. Well done! :)

One of the great pleasures of winter, being inside and warm. And if you have someone to snuggle up to, all the better

Dear Victor, I love this little story poem that really speaks to the relationships that we have with our spouse. Life is full of all the makings of an adventure but it all comes down to our relationships. Beautiful! Winter Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel
