A Weeping Willow Mourns

I stand in constant grace donned in my virescent cape where yon brooklet I face which flows through verdant landscape. Young sweethearts seek my shade. So happy ere they leave, sweet love they have made! Lonely again, I then grieve. Knowing not each couple's fate - wondering and weeping - I wait. Title is superb. Beauty of a poem means use of rhetorical devices. Alliteration used in title is a nice one. Poem makes us laugh, cry, prickle, silent. So did this one. I am deeply touched. Assonance is north line is nicely penned. Good poem. And yes, Review Pari Style Poem to encourage me.

Hi Andrea and congrats on your win too. And, yes, I am the sad lover back under your "virescient cape" and you, my friend, the willow, are weeping with me. Maybe we should try a collab and combine our poems. What do you think? Carole :D P.S. Soup mail me.

Truly a gem, even though I need to look up virescent, I felt the poem radiate with emotion that took me in. This is another beauty with impressive words smoothly blending. I know this will do well. Love ... CayCay

This is very beautiful, Andrea; I love the personification of nature. I really do feel the spirit of trees and animals, at times also sense their thinking and longing as if we are all of one blood. Divinely written work. Thank you for sharing.

I too don't understand James's comments. Mind you he has the most poems written in the history of the universe. Each of them is as meaningful as the one written before and after the other one that was written before that one followed by the thee and added to the 90th power of infinity.
