A Weeping Willow Mourns

A WEEPING WILLOW MOURNS See the weeping willow tree Weeping because she left me I mourn like the willow My tears soak my pillow My soul doth sorely yearn Hoping that she will return I weep with bitter tears Nothing calms all my fears Now that she is gone I am left all alone 13 January 2018 For 10 lines, 5 words, rhyme II contest sponsored by Laura Loo

I hadn't tried this but you did wonderfully. There used to be weeping willows everywhere here; but no more :( Beautiful Curtis.

Willows seem to flourish in Georgia. I don't have any in my yard but I do have a burgeoning hedge of leyland cypress trees. It pleases me that you enjoyed my poems enough to encourage me by commenting on them. Soup is a great tool for getting to know people even at long distance. Thanks for your support.

Another splendid job with a challenge. It was not so easy to do, being limited on the word count. I expect this will do well in the contest. So many of us chose willow. For me, the most interesting of the themes given.

Second attempt to say thanks -- I don't know what happened to the first. I had a bit of a struggle putting this together, didn't really like what it said, but submitted it anyway. Glad you liked it. By the way, I am enjoying your book tremendously. Thank you so much.
