A Wayward Wind Now Guides Me

Breaking my chains
    expanding horizons
  swerving past roadblocks
escaping cages I once died in

A wayward wind now guides me
    tousling my thinning hair
Beads of sweat blind my conscience
    evaporate in nightmares

  Landing softly on a riverbank
    where beauty's swept downstream
It matters not where the current takes me
~ only that I follow the dream

and as an old song says..."it's a restless wind that longs to wander"...I especially liked the line "escaping cages I once died in"....a very intriguing metaphor....

The wayward wind is a restless wind came to mind as i read your lovely rhyme, Gershon, sung by Gogi Grant. Take care, Shirley.
