A Warm Embrace
For all those times I’ve held you close
and felt our bodies intertwine,
your warmth sustains my heartbeat’s surge
whenever yours is close to mine.
Each breath with you fulfills my soul;
a part of you goes through my veins.
My breathing often matches yours
and all the love that it sustains.
To hold you closely is to know
that we should always be as one.
To be together is to know
my love for you has just begun.
A love that’s just begun is what
we’ve formed from all the times we’ve shared.
The times we’ve shared shows avid love
beyond the others we’ve compared.
I’ll always want to hold you tight
and never let you get away.
We’ll cherish all our special times;
my love for you will never sway.
If we should never love again
you’ll always know this sense of peace.
Reminders of our warm embrace
will show our love will never cease.
