A Visitor Passing Through
As I sit here pondering about life,
an intense feeling of utter sadness
greets me. It came out of nowhere
instantly. What should I do now?
Emotions will come and go. They're
normal, and they serve a purpose,
there is a time to be sad and happy,
and angry too. But one's emotions
shouldn't be a master over them,
one must master their emotions.
Let sadness be a visitor passing
through, not a permanent guest.
If sadness tries to overstay its
welcome, kick sadness out and
serve an eviction notice. Let love,
joy, and kindness be lifetime guests,
in and out of season. Choose joy and
happiness always.Writing this poem
has driven the intense feeling of
sadness away. Poetry is so powerful;
it has the ability to change one’s mood.
