A Version of Haunting

Somebody else's ghost
takes her away
makes her mumble him, although
I think she wants me to hear.

Those are dark
moments when she puts
the mask of memory
over her eyes.

He takes her away.
I watch, an audience
for a dance, a perverse
romance.
