A Veiled Glimpse
You can change your life to live some ideal
But you can't really change what you are
You can smile at their ways and play their games for real
But your scars will always remain where they are
You can live the dream but is it really your scene
That's no way to find out who you are
You can live a lie, mask your soul 'till you die
If you're scared of the person you are
Do you ever really know
Do you ever really show
Do you ever give everything that you are
Or is like a crescent Moon
A broken sight of full bloom
A veiled glimpse of the core of your star
Does your reflection ever give you a sight
Deep behind your eyes
To what remains wise and never lies
About the nature of what you are
