A Valley of Hope

A valley of hope stares up
   at hills of despair
where shuttered cottages groan
   despite the fresh air

Flowers bloom down below
   in neat garden beds
bright-colored lilies grow
   flinty valley overspread

A wonderful write Gerson. So very positive. Every line a gem. Let's be hopeful in current situation.

Your blooming, lily covered valley is a beautiful place, Gershon. That is because it is filled with hope. This poem is in my faves. :=)

Looks like a springtime poem to me. The season can't come soon enough where I am in New Jersey.

Yes. I imagine you've been hit pretty hard by the big snows out east. Bring on Spring now!! :) gw
