A Valentine's Heart

Can blood and muscle beat,

inside of you my loving Pete.

I know it is time for me to let go,

you no longer can be my beau.

My Valentine's Day heart has been broken,

no words from you can be spoken.

I will buy me some flowers and candy,

maybe I should also buy a bottle of brandy.

I will eat my candy by the fire,

the beautiful flowers I will sit and admire.

Sad write Paula. Still your positive attitude is praiseworthy. Rating candy, admiring flowers instead of crying. An inspiration for many. Take care Rama

Very nice, Paula. Reminds me of an Ogden Nash poem ("Candy is dandy, but liquor is quicker."). Best to you.
