But with 20-inch long bodies and conspicuously large 'trumpet' snouts, they need tricks to sneak up on their prey which are wary of them. In a study, published in the journal Current Biology, scientists demonstrated the effectiveness of one trumpetfish strategy — hiding by riding atop of a larger, fish such as a parrotfish which the prey know to be friendly.
