A Tribute To Veterans
Everyone is fighting in this life
for different reasons
but not everyone is brave enough
to fight for other people
not everyone is brave enough
to sacrifice their life
their freedom
their health
their time
their everything
for other people’s freedom
Some are dead
Some are sick
Some are disabled
Some are homeless
They never ask for anything back
but guess what they get in return?
a simple “thanks” once a year
and absurd comparisons of their bravery
