A Tribute To Justin a Bordner

Of the many stars I have seen,
Justin, you are by far the most exquisite
I love how you just mold into my heart,
Sifting the words we share part by part,
Lighting the path to inspiration,
Attaining your lightning connotation

I love how you relate to my struggles,
Allowing my feet to rest on your gentle wings,
How your loving eyes look in-between the lines,
To see inside such poetry, the divine intertwine

You do not waste your time in the sky,
Rising every moment in your heightening knowledge
You burn brighter for what matters
You hold tighter to the light with gladness,
And you are not afraid in the prowling wilderness
You are never afraid to express your genius

Long ago, I had wandered in the haze of many a soul
Closed and withdrawn in the strolls of dark foes
In your luminous presence, you awakened this dreamer
My eyes widening in the unity of word-weavers
To access your bloom was to shatter all doom
And in awe, I aspired to be a part of you

I love that you care of my virtues,
How you give and give tremendously
How we understand each other in synchronizing energy out of this world
I love that you will feel my heart, as I do yours
I will love these truths forevermore

A tribute to this burning star is never enough
You have inspired me beyond what I can see
Beyond what dreams a dreamer be
And for that, I must thank you,
As you persevere in your incomparable brightness
To illuminate my path, and our paths,
Into the extraordinary, eternal unearthing of fate, fervor and fortune

Outstanding, Laura. Justin's poetry is incredible, and it doesn't just remain within the realms of a poem ... but it leaks into his everyday conversation, the passion still thrives. And I just love how you simultaneously exalted his intelligence and his humility in the third stanza: "You do not waste your time in the sky, Rising every moment in your heightening knowledge, You burn brighter for what matters" ... this describes him so well. You two have had an important kinship through poetry.

So beautiful this is, Laura. The word is not enough, I know, to describe this tribute for someone so valued and admired. I am glad you came out with one for him. Much as I would have wanted, I would never have have felt that one from me would be enough. You, my friend, have done it with brilliance, sincerity, and warmth. God bless two of my fav people here. A 7 and a fav. hugs!

My heart to you, Kim. You are exquisite to me in so many ways... I hope more poets on here discover just how special Justin is. I know that you understand... it can be so difficult to find the words to write... imagine me trying to find the right words to say outloud! I am very very shy...so it helps me to write... express my heart's purpose. You are so kind to me. I am blessed. Lots of love! ~Laura

...there must be pathways (either neuronal or more subtle chemical ones) that enable us to view things that aren't really there. The thing I saw has long since disappeared, but I have a fond memory of it. It has changed the way I think about everything. Now, I don't know if this applies to your story or not because you have left us all in suspense. Finally, I think Justin must have a warmth in his heart as a result of what you have written. This is a special moment. I sincerely bless you 2.

Laura, this is wonderful. I am sure Justin appreciates you. This is a lovely expression of kindness, friendship and gratitude--all virtues. I had to leave off this morning I my way to work, but there was something else I wanted to share with you which I can now mention. When under stress and extreme emotional turmoil, one form of resolution available to us is caused by stimulation of the optic centers of our brain. At least for some of us who have had visions of things...

My dear Laura, You have really written a lovely tribute. Your own superb craftsmanship shows in this piece, but it is all the more exquisite because of the subject for whom you write! Justin's poetry has always moved and inspired me. I cherish my three top wins in his contests. He is an exceptional poet and is in my favorite poet folder where he will remain. To have someone who understands you and always encourages you to higher levels is a blessing, dear. I'm happy for you. Good luck in the contest. I really see this placing very high, indeed.

It doesn't give him justice, but at least you guys and he will know that he means so much to me. A favorite poet is an understatement. Thanks again for your warm regards..<3 ~Laura
