A Tribute To - Jack Ellison
"That Morning Brew... starts the day off with a bright howdy do."

Jack Ellison
He labelled himself a Happy Fellow
His bubbly nature in ink would flow.
His funny side oozes
On Soup he amuses -
Jack Ellison is a poet I follow.
He wrote about That Morning Brew
How his daily coffee got him through.
It would sadness defeat
Keeping him upbeat
starts the day off with a bright howdy do!
In the poem he titled Enjoy The Ride
A gem of inspiration is found inside -
Stone days are only sent to test
our resolve, thus bringing out our best
But more "diamond days" are on life's ride.
In another poem, when he went to the docs,
He relates how he was "wearing just socks".
His new doc was like a present.
He found [Kim] quite pleasant.
He wanted to visit "toute suite" and lots!
I highly recommend, if you feel a bit down
Have a read of his words to reverse that frown
You'll find that his work
Is down to earth
As cozy as slippers and a dressing gown.
Jack has not posted for about a year.
I'm sure that his friends miss him a lot on here.
So his honour I hoot
In this tribute.
His poetry casts out so much cheer!
