A Tree For All of Us

With twisted trunk of beauty, From the ravages of time, A city bears its name today, Because Athena made of you, Her chosen gift to the mortals, Recounted still in Grecian myth. The dove of peace and hope began, By flying back to Noah, A symbol from your branch, That spoke of dry land past the waves, A place of respite from the sea. Both earth and peace were born anew, From the settling storm, And delivered with forgiveness, Out of a rainbow sky, By the leaf of life from you, God's ageless olive tree.

James, I enjoyed reading this poem. Your words are so well combined...the flow is beautiful as is the meaning. And it takes the reader through time smoothly. If you have the opportunity to write more poetry, I will try to read it more often than before. After the hospital, I was having physical therapy...so I didn't show as much gratitude to those who were so kind to me while I was confined as I should have. Please accept my apology. I do appreciate your kindness. Sincerely, Dane Ann

Thanks for this beautiful timeless message James. Yes that ageless olive Tree was never plucked up from it's roots, neither were they tainted, for it's roots were the very heart of God himself. It's offspring suffered sin's shame, and we are reconnected to the true root again. Sincerely, Love, Moses
