A Tired Routine

A Tired Routine A routine is not so easy to find When your norm is lost somewhere deep in mind All the drapes are drawn so no one can see Yet, no one is looking or calling on me The blurry light filters straight through the drapes Will somehow remind, there is no escape As the sun goes down, it’s harder to see I will light some candles and pray to breathe So deep is my breath, yet tension remains I wonder if maybe I’ll go I n s a n e As misunderstood, and maybe not liked It's raining each day, but lightening won’t strike I know that I should, but sleep I can’t find I have tossed and turned, and slow is the time As the sun comes up, asleep on the floor My alarm clock blares, I am out the door © 2017 Jeffrey Spencer
