A Thought

I had a thought but it quickly went away Another thought just crossed my mind The second one today Lasted for only a moment They very seldom stay Just melt away like a snow flake in July But soon another will take its place I have always wondered why

Thoughts can be fleeting at times...thank God those neurons, ever firing, always bring us another notion to ponder. Good work! MC

Millions of thoughts keep going through my mind - sometimes all at once - which can be difficult. I'm bipolar :) so this is a hard way of thinking. I enjoyed your poem. God bless you.

Love this write. I have days that my thoughts flash like strobe light. Other days when they hit me deeply and I have to ask myself--who is this invisible man speaking to me? Carry on my friend!

Ah, I see you've spent some time in my mind as well. I really enjoyed this little verse. It reminded me of another: "Last night upon the stair, I met a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh how I wish he'd stay away." (William Hughes). Kudos, to you, Donald.

Now that you mention it some of them are kind of squirrelly. Thanks for stopping by.
